On March 28th, 2024, TLLM organized a heartfelt celebration of International Women’s Day at Acacia Village/God’s House, marking both a tribute to women’s accomplishments and the culmination of TLLM’s first quarter training initiative. The event was graced by representatives from prominent organizations like COOP and the N/S/L/Sub-city Women, Children, and Social Affairs Office, alongside 175 special needs children and their mothers. Highlights included the establishment of bank accounts for these mothers in partnership with COOP, aiming to enhance their financial independence and well-being.
Central to the event’s theme, “Invest in Women and Accelerate Progress,” was TLLM’s commitment to empowering these mothers through skills development and health initiatives, including cervical cancer screenings. The gathering fostered a sense of community and gratitude among the beneficiaries, who expressed appreciation for the opportunities to connect and grow together.
